Description (last modified by jane) (diff)
Colloquy is pretty much unusable for blind people (and developers who get messaged in the background while testing their apps with VoiceOver!).
Problems include:
• Not able to change tabs (I use adium-style tabbed interface); nor read out the tab names
• Navigation is a nightmare (e.g. trying to get to the IRC messages, it reads "edit text; splitter; html content, interact with html content; two items; group; frame one; interact with frame one; thirteen thousand five hundred and twenty items; link; proton" at which point I would be somewhere in the content, which seems to vary depending on scroll bar position [unknown since I can't see it])
• The HTML content is difficult to navigate (Bland appearance), lots of unnecessary groupings (joined/left rooms, etc)
• No notification of what channels have messages waiting for you
• No way to jump to messages with your keywords in them (the ones that cause a line to appear in the scroll bar)
• Coming into a channel you start at the top, not at the bottom, pressing up repeatedly reads messages in reverse chronological order.
