Unable to submit commands whilst connecting to BNC

I connect to the BNC, and the user needs the ability to send commands to the server in order to complete login. When connecting, I get this message:

Welcome NOTICE * psyBNC2.3.1

-psyBNC NOTICE Your IRC Client did not support a password. Please type /QUOTE PASS yourpassword to connect.

So I type in that command press enter, but the enter key does absolutely nothing - the text stays in the textbox and everything.

I have tried using the /raw command as suggested by a friend but to no avail. Does anyone know why this is happening, and how I can get around it? Oh, and by the way I have added the password to the BNC under the connection string :)

This is still not fixed, as Xenon confirmed on when it was released. I still have a bouncer set up for testing for which Xenon has the login info.
