So I'm having this issue with Colloquy, and it's being triggered by Moom.
Repro steps:
- Open Moom.
- Set up at least one move-and-zoom keyboard shortcut, to move and change the window size of an app.
- Open Colloquy.
- Use the Moom shortcut.
- No more shadow!

This has been quite annoying for some time now. :( I've found these steps duplicate the problem for me:
1) Open Colloquy with multiple channels auto-joined.
2) Select any channel not currently selected
3) Click any other non-Colloquy window to change focus.
4) Change focus back to Colloquy and shadow is missing.
The key for this is having multiple channels (I usually have 4) and step #2.

Well, seems the number of channels is a factor. Just added a 5th channel (#colloquy) and shadow no longer disappears. :(

For me this happens all of a sudden, and then there is no way to get the shadow back again. Very annoying. Tried different number of channels (as suggested above), but that does not help.

This lately also happens to me constantly. I've got 2 channels on auto-join, and the shadow disappears when the window is focussed. The inactive window does have a (correct) shadow.

I only have one channel but still have the issue of no shadow on active window. The one channel is auto-joined.
still an issue now that the transparent window bug is fixed?
