#65 closed Enhancement (Fixed)

Implement visual guide of # waiting messages

Reported by: david@… Owned by: timothy
Component: Colloquy (Mac) Version: 2.0 (Mac)
Severity: Normal Keywords: gui, waiting messages

When using Growl and having Colloquy in the background, whenever someone posts a message containing my nickname I get a Growl alert. That alert contains a image much like the one used for channels, but with the nice addition of a number in the big bubble.

I'd like to see that feature be used in the icons used for each window as well, instead of having to hover over the tab/window to get amount of waiting messages. That way the user would get a very quick and intuitive way to notice hwo many waiting messages there are in each channel.

That's not a number, that's an exclamation mark.

And as to putting the number in the image, if you're using tabs (like I think most people do), the image is far too small to support a number.

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

We have number of unread messages in the drawer and sidebar in the r3264 and later versions, including number of times a highlight was mentioned.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
