  • Resolution set to wontfix
  • Status changed from new to closed

This is something that should be done with a plugin and not be built in. Remember IRC messages are limited to around 400 bytes (ones you subtract your hostmask and PRIVMSG from the 512 limit).

I just opened a Sourceforge project for my FiSH plugin FiSHy at http://sourceforge.net/projects/fishy/

It supports standard blowfish encryption and secure key exchange in queries. You do need a Colloquy build from sources no older than 2007-02-22, though. A binary compiled by me which works can be downloaded at above Sourceforge site.

The plugin is still in development, but works so far. Thing still to do: Mark encrypted messages.

Blowfish is something we don't plan to integrate with Colloquy, the FiSHy works just fine.
