Colloquy should support Jabber/XMPP.

I gotta admit, this would be darn nice. Jabber IM is one thing, but there are few clients that support Jabber Multi-User Chat well.

Jabber is one thing I have considered for a long time. We should keep this opne in case we ever want to add Jabber support to Chat Core. Chat Core could certainly handle it abstractly and work in Colloquy easily.

Hi Timothy....we at Linden Lab are big fans of Colloquy, and would like to keep using it as we move our internal chat server to Jabber. Is there anything we can do to accelerate this work?

Basic support for direct chat through Jabber was added in [3637]. Much more work to do, like adding group chat support, and away status, etc.
