/whois on non-existing user triggers repeated error dialogs

Reported by: Allan Odgaard Owned by: timothy
Component: Colloquy (Mac) Version: 2.0 (Mac)
Severity: Normal Keywords:

Description

If I do /whois on some user which is not existing, Colloquy opens the info window for that user, and then gives me a dialog about the user not being online repeatedly (every 10th second or so) until I close the info window for the user.

Also seems to happen if the /whois on a user which is just offline.

  • Severity changed from blocker to normal

Around every 10 seconds, the whois window refreshes to update the information you see, like the idle-time and such. By doing this, it also can check to see if a user is online yet, thus causing error-messages constantly. I don't really know if this is considered a bug or not. But if it is, I'd be asking for it to not refresh after discovering the user is offline.
