unwanted disconnection

Description

I don't think this is an actual bug, but I don't know much about scripting....so I'm not sure. The extent of my knowlege in that subject area involves a few very obsolete programming languages and an AppleIIGS that will do pretty much anything I want it to... ANYWAY: I'd like to stay connected to the server I'm on when my computer goes to sleep. I'm sure there's a script included in the program somewhere that makes that happen - that's what my nerd friends tell me anyway. Can I stay connected without endangering my computer's health by telling it to never sleep? If so, How?
I'm running 2.0 on a Mac OS 10.4.2
Thank you for your time!

This is a dup of #163. When we sleep we tell all connections to disconnect. If we didn't do this you would eventually ping-timeout from the server.
