#2744 closed Defect (Duplicate)

Return key is "sticky."

Reported by: Muffin Owned by: timothy
Component: Colloquy (Mac) Version: 2.3 (Mac)
Severity: Major Keywords:

Sometimes, when I hit "return," it pauses, and then effectively registers more than one return. The result of this is that if I'm typing more than one line fast, my second line of text is mangled and separated onto multiple lines.

In the attached image, I was trying to yell about how I do not hate keyboards, I hate mice, and do not want to move my hand from the keyboard to the mice. My goal: To type "NO I DO NOT" as one line, then "I HATE MICE" as the second. But, I was typing too fast....and the result is the bug.

This bug occurs on my Mac Pro running every version of 10.6 so far (I'm lazy and haven't reported the bug until just now), but it does NOT occur on my Macbook Pro. I have no way to replicate this; it happens sometimes but not other times. Happy to help debug in any way.
