Getting a functional theme

Description

looking through the available themes, nothing jumps out as being super functional.

someone pointed me to 'simplicity' theme: hp://mac.softpedia.com/get/Internet-Utilities/Colloquy-Simplicity.shtml

this is great: hp://cl.ly/5Vrc

it appears to remember the last seven speakers and assign each one a different colour, which really helps follow conversations. It also covers the background, and puts a demarcation line between different speakers

also the font is perfect, and the way channel messages appear is also perfect

however, there are some glaring gaps.

If I speak, that line should be highlighted in Bold, maybe in blue like X chat

and if anyone replies to me, that line should also be highlighted maybe Bold Italic.

another very useful feature would-be to list below each channel the most recent participants, say everyone who has spoken in the last half an hour, up to a maximum of 10, it really makes no sense to pull down the list of 900 people in #linux most of whom haven't spoken in six months and aren't even there. it would be nice to see at a glance which operators are recently active, and who else.

sorry to put in a request, I did have a go at doing it myself, but got a bit bamboozled by all of the new xml xsl etc technologies. I have too much RSI and workload to figure it out :|

While thats a cool theme, it was written by a third party, not us.
