Can you open Colloquy's console and try connecting? Do any messages show up in there? How about in Mac OS X's Console.app?

OK. Let's to the dump.

The Colloqui-console goes like this:
"PASS
NICK nickname
USER username 0 * Anonymous User"

-> although I try to login with username / password, NOT an Anonymous User.

The console.app goes (after some seconds delay)

10.01.10 21:37:00 Colloquy[7190] -[NSConcreteAttributedString initWithString:] called with nil string argument. This has undefined behavior and will raise an exception in post-Leopard linked apps. This warning is displayed only once.

10.01.10 21:37:08 Colloquy[7204] Instantiating NSNavExpansionButtonCell (superclass of the also dead NSDisclosureButtonCell), which is a private class not used by the AppKit? and will be removed. Use an NSButton with NSRoundedDisclosureBezelStyle instead. You can drag one out in IB. Break on _NSInstantiatingDeadDisclosureButton to debug. This will be logged only once. This may break in the future.

10.01.10 21:37:49 Colloquy[7204] * WARNING: Method selectRow:byExtendingSelection: in class JVSideOutlineView is deprecated. It will be removed in a future release and should no longer be used.

Hope that helps a little bit.
