#1870 accepted Enhancement

Option to disable nickname authentication

Description

I use Colloquy on my iPhone, connecting to a Colloquy bouncer running on my Mac, which has 4 irc networks configured, all with nickname authentication.

Every time I connect to the bouncer with Colloquy on the iPhone it tries to reauthenticate, even though the running client on the Mac is authenticated. Removing the passwords from the connection settings on the iPhone helps for a while, but they seem to get refreshed at times from the Mac client.

An option to disable nickname authentication when connecting to the bouncer would be very nice.

A setting shouldn't be needed. We just need to make the bouncer tell the iPhone it is authed already.

Hitting this one too. With the iOS app v1.5 (5928) the connection is unable to complete because of this.
The connection status stays orange and although I can see what is being said on various channels, I cannot reply.
