#1742 closed Defect (Works for Me)

Port numbers greater than 32768 don't work

Reported by: narge Owned by: timothy
Component: Colloquy (Mac) Version: 2.2 (Mac)
Severity: Major Keywords:
Cc:

Description

In version 2.3 (4617), it is no longer possible to configure a connection with port number higher than 0x8000. Any port number n > 0x8000 will be silently changed to 0x8000 - (n & 0x7fff).

For example, if a connection is configured for port 57000, Colloquy will attempt to connect on port 8536, and the latter number will be displayed in the connections list.

This worked in 2.2.2 (4565).

Actually, it's possibly just a display problem. Saved connections with high port numbers do seem to work (there's a bit of a delay, which may or may not be a separate problem), despite displaying the wrong port number.
