IRC links won't automatically connect

Description
I've had this problem ever since I started using this app instead of Chatzilla.
If I open an IRC link in Firefox it will launch Colloquy and connect to the server, but not that channel. I always have to click the link more than once in the end. It's a real pain but I haven't seen anyone else report this problem. If there's a workaround, I'd like to know.
