Request a preference to disable Mobile Colloquy's backlog for users who connect to an IRC proxy which displays its own backlog.

This preference will be on a global basis rather than per-connection.

I commiserate, being in the same situation, but the general consensus when this was discussed was that we had too many preferences and 10 lines was not worth putting a pref in for.

However, I'll leave the ticket open and on the back burner, maybe for the future.

[8:20pm] enntee: The other was #1491, a request to disable the built-in backlog. I just wanted to reply to Jane's comment that it can be incredibly confusing when the built-in backlog is the same as the bouncer's backlog, making it look like a duplicate conversation. To avoid an additional preference, I was wondering if there's some way to automatically disable the built-in backlog if a large number of lines come in on connect, or if the client
[8:21pm] enntee: Basically the idea being that Mobile Colloquy just does the right thing... if you're connecting to a bouncer, it doesn't show you the backlog. If you're not connecting to a bouncer, it does. (Auto-joining channels seems like a good way to detect if you're connecting to a bouncer. just a thought).
