Receiving a /notice opens a 'private message' tab, but answers are sent as /msg, not as /notice

I configured my colloquy to open a new tab when receiving a notice. Now, the problem is that when I answer to the notice, it is sent as /msg. This is annoying but should be easy to fix.

In my opinion, the current behavior as described is better; NOTICE vs. PRIVMSG should be per-message, not per-conversation.

But this is inconsistant. When I received a notice and the tab opens, who am I to know that it will send my answer as private message? In the least, this should be configurable, or a 'private message tab' should look different from a notice tab...

The current behavior is confusing and illogical. Why should my client force me to type /notice, but not /msg?

Please fix!
